Back to the brush

I'm picking up where I left off and looking forward to finishing this painting. Ive got the spirit on this one hope it comes out as good as i think it will. This is just the first start at it again as soon as I get started jet lag seems to hit me and i have to take a nap. I will post progress pics as I work.

Im back.

OK just got back from a great trip to Portland Oregon. As always not enough time to see all the great friends and family I have there but I'll take what I can get.

I am fortunate enough to be showing a series of drawings called "My Love is Sketchy" at the amazing boutique called Moxie , located at 2400 E Burnside St. , Portland, OR 97214. The owner of this fine establishment I am lucky enough to call a good friend so I was able to have lunch with her and drop off some art. I only managed to take some quick iPhone shots of where she put up my work. I meant to take some shots of her shop but as always happens I didn't manage to swing back to do it with all the running around town.

If you are in Portland you should be stopping by her shop anyway, very cool women's clothing and now have started to carry men's wear too. Great store with a great owner who is willing to showcase local talented artist, support your local shops people.

Final colors for "My Love is Sketchy"

I just finalized these with a bit more hints of color and I also through in a second version for "Floating". These pieces look better in person, some of the colors get a bit dull in the scan and and I don't have time to adjust for it but at least it gives you an impression of what the pieces are.

Alright, I'm off to Portland to drop these off at Moxie......more laters

Bolivian Pride

I just read this article about the The Inoue Brothers creating a line using Bolivian Alpaca. I appreciate how mindful they seem to be about fostering a healthy relationship with there partners there in Bolivia. There work looks great as well,I am looking forward to seeing more great stuff in the future.
